By embracing local talents, Alila Living Gallery aims to encourage and continue the artistic legacy which is rooted in Ubud as the cultural capital of Bali. Opening exhibition on 17 July 2009, Alila Living Gallery will provide platform for 5 Ubud artists who will showcase their paintings under one theme; Colors of Life
Celebrating the unique and diverse style, in this exhibition each of the 5 Balinese artists brings in their own artistic characters and strokes to show their individuality. Yet, all the exhibited paintings tell parallel stories of how Balinese cultural and religious life which affect them as artists.
The 5 artists – I Wayan Eka Partama, I Wayan Meja, I Wayan Juniarta, I Wayan Tarka and I Wayan Gede Suteja Spd, all were born into artistic families or community around Ubud area.
The exhibition continues until August 17, 2009 with daily opening hours from 09:00 – 21:00.
